Josh's Baptism

At the end of May, Joshua made the decision to ask God to be the Lord of his life.  It was such a precious experience.  To be able to lead your child through the best decision of his life.  Since we were going to be back in Texas we thought it would be so awesome to see if we could do Josh's baptism at our home church.  We really miss our church family and they have been such a big part of our lives and in the spiritual seed planting in our boys hearts.  So we arranged everything with Pastor Chris and had a laid back baptism on Sunday, July 17th.  We had it in the evening and lots of family came to celebrate with us.  I'm so proud of my Joshie.

Here we are with Pastor Chris before the baptism.

He was so calm and ready.  Sweet boy.

Cheeto Chums

We visited lots of friends while we were in TX. The visit just didn't seem to last long enough though. We got together a couple of different times to let the kids play and spend time together. I really miss hanging out with my friends there. The boys really miss their buddies, The Love Boys. Simon and Issac seemed to get along really well together and even shared Cheeto's!

Slip and Slide

Grammy bought a slip 'n slide for the kids to play on in the back yard. They all loved it and took turns sliding down on their bellies, bottoms and backs over and over again.

Boys and Trucks

I got to visit with my good friend Rachel and her boys while we were in TX.  It was great to get to catch up with her and to watch the boys all playing together.  They mostly played outside with a battery powered truck.  It was like watching clowns pile into a small car!

Something's wrong.  We got to pop the hood.

There they go.  5 little boys.

Bye Mom.  See ya later!

Park and Pool

While visiting at Grammy and PawPaw's house this summer, we went to a park and we also visited the city pool.

Even Aunt Minda played on the playground.

Caleb and Simon loved playing under the splash buckets.

Josh and Madison went down this slide over and over again.

Wedding

While in Texas, we went to my cousin Kevin's wedding where we met his beautiful bride Cherie, saw lot's of family and friends, and danced (ALOT).  It was so much fun.

Before the wedding we posed with our English wedding hats...we thought we would embarrass Melinda.  It did not work.

Kevin and Cherie.

Cousin Steph, Uncle Bud and Aunt Lori.  Uncle Buddy performed the wedding ceremony.

Me and my PeePaw.

My beautiful sisters.

 Mom and Dad.

 Me and Kevin.

Who knows what Uncle Darrell is saying to his new daughter-in-law but the expression on her face says it all...

Aunt Audra and cousin Tyler.

There was dancing...well there was dancing disguised as spastic movements.

Josh and Madison whirl around.

Aunt Karen dancing with her "little" boy.  Yes...I cried.  One day I will be dancing with my boys at their weddings.

Aunt Minda and Caleb cut a rug.
Caleb was a dancin' fool!

Caleb caught the garter...the cheeky little turkey!

Good times were had by all, the young and the old.

The bride and groom left to start their new life as a couple and we all left with tired feet and fond memories.
