Thanksgiving Poetry and Tea

Joshua's class had a Thanksgiving Poetry reading and tea and invited family to come.  Travis, Susan, Paige and Phoebe were here for Thanksgiving and so they joined us for the tea.  Josh had told us that his poem was about family.  We were surprised to find out that most of what he was thankful for was the bus.  I told him I was thankful for the bus too!

The whole class sang us a song as well as the poetry readings.

It was fun to have lots of family there.  We are so proud of Josh and how well he is reading.  

First Day of School

On August 16th, the two older boys, headed to school. Josh to 1st grade and Caleb starting Kindergarten. They were so excited and I was excited to see what it was like to just have one at home!

Well, all except this one.  I won't be sending him off for another 3 years! 

Getting on the bus!

We got to the school to watch them get off the bus and help them to class.  Josh was being a good big brother, helping Caleb on his first day.

Josh gets some first day of school instructions from his teacher.  I can't believe my big boy is in 1st grade!

After we got a snack we all got in the van and went to pick up this big guy.  Our new pet, Hank! 

The boys love having Hank around and when we got him he was almost 3 months old and weighed around 30 lbs.  Now he is over 4 months old and weighs 39 lbs!
